Riverhead High School marketing students learned that you can do anything you put your mind to during a special visit from Mark Cronin and John Cronin, the father/son co-owners of John’s Crazy Socks, on March 10.
During the presentation, John Cronin, who has Down syndrome, spoke to the students about how he and his father grew their business organically by brainstorming ideas and learning by doing. Together, they came up with creative ideas to market the business, such as posting videos to social media, including handwritten notes and candy in each sock package, hand delivering local packages and donating to organizations like the Special Olympics.<span
“Find something you love,” said Mark Cronin, “and you can start a business.”
