Spending Time With Seniors

January 10, 2020

Fifth and sixth graders in the Library Leaders program at Pulaski Street Elementary School recently visited the Riverhead Senior Center, where they spent time crafting with the seniors, singing for them and interviewing them. They also presented each senior with a picture frame that they had made by hand.

The Library Leaders program is led by Pulaski’s library/school media specialist, Amelia Estevez Creedon. To participate, fifth and sixth grade students must apply and participate in training sessions where they learn to lead, teach and serve.
