The Riverhead School District had an impressive showing at an educational conference called “Implementing Project Based Learning with Suzie Boss,” presented by Nassau TRACT Teacher Center and Hofstra University. Superintendent Dr. Tornatore and 14 staff members represented the largest group from one district at the conference, where they engaged in an interactive workshop on designing class projects that inspire students to become effective problem solvers and reach pertinent learning goals. Leading the conference was author and educational consultant Suzie Boss, who has worked with educators across the globe on student-centered learning.
